The Team Supports Faculty, Physician/Scientists, and Researchers by:
• Disseminating grant opportunities
• Collaborating with PIs, gift officers, and leadership to identify strong matches between funders and research/programs
• Providing strategic guidance on approaching foundations and corporations
• Reviewing project ideas to ensure alignment with foundation/corporation interests and funding priorities
• Editing grant proposals, including cutting to character/word/page limits
• Gathering institutional information and documents needed for proposals
• Assisting with foundation and corporate site visits
• Supporting stewardship, including assistance with reporting for select gifts and grants
• Maintaining a database of more than 1,500 philanthropic grant opportunities, all vetted for University of Miami eligibility
